Think of this like Occam's Razor, Werner's Razor and Now Paranoid Patty's Razor, in which the simplest answer is most often the correct one, integrate these two opposites by focusing really hard on this “Koan.”
I claim that people I do not even know, who also don't know me, are talking about me and the people I don't know, who also don't know me, are talking about me, and about my “claim” that they are talking about me, while they get together and talk about why I would believe that when they all agree they are NOT talking about me.
The behaviour of the local population acting it all out everywhere and my statement that they are doing just that, is nothing more or less than the SAME reality from opposing viewpoints. Yet almost no one sees this. Why? Well in order to protect and defend all the participants in the group from any negative consequences to them for their perfectly obvious behaviour, reality has been split in two and then reversed. This is the nature of delusional reversal and I am suggesting that this is a very COMMON phenomenon.
The group, as a group, believes it's members are all smarter, more conscious and therefore “hidden” from an inferior who only “thinks” people are doing “her” harm and talking about “her”, often right in “her” presence like she is not there. The group members of course are not 'the people” since they consider themselves to BE “hidden” from me
and
I am told that I must accept my inferior status and that nothing has happened here. I only “think” it has because I have a “mental illness” that causes me to HAVE this perception/reaction problem which exists WITHIN me and has nothing to do with external reality. That is a really neat “explain away” when you think about it, isn't it?
Now, once you are diagnosed and defined with one of these imaginary disease labels, it no longer matters at all WHAT you say or don't say, do, or don't do, since any of it will only be “spun” and made to “fit” the diagnosis, which has been created as an abstraction, in absolute terms, from lexperts istening to all kinds of people “claim” they have had the SAME kind of experiences with individuals and groups. Hmmmm....
What do you say, just for more laughs, that we try thinking about all of this by accepting it at FACE VALUE? What might we see and hear then? Put your “no one must be blamed game” away for just a minute and rethink it. Group denial, with the blaming of the targeted “sick one” often referred to as the “identified patient” [1], is, after all, the whole POINT of playing the 'game.”
So what is the point Paranoid Patty is making with her “razor” here?[2]
It is as I have already stated that the simplest and most obvious answer is often the correct one.
The Blind Spot in the group:
The group delusion of “superiority” allows the group members to convince themselves that they are ”hidden” in plain sight from an inferior who knows nothing. Since s/he knows nothing, that opens them to the opportunity to mock and ridicule in her presence, usually disguised[3] as “humour.” often the most vicious and contemptuous comment will be disguised as “humour” used to engage other blind superior idiots in the show of contempt.[4]
The Blind Spot in the Psychiatrists
The beliefs in which they have been trained themselves will not allow them to accept that this group behaviour of which so many of us speak exists in reality. They are taught to reject what the identified patient says as being reality and to NOT accept it at face value.
Result: the dysfunctional status quo is supported and maintained by the psychiatrists along with the dysfunctional group by reinventing this reality as a perception/reaction problem in the targeted “sick” one.
One the individual is defined as “crazy” the group abuse and “story telling” grows without limits since no one will believe the “crazy” one anyway.
The reason for the group behaviour?...Emotional catharsis provided for them through the use of socially sanctioned targets “deserving” of their contempt. It is a form of “bonding,”being a member of a group which defines itself as “normal” and not as one of “them.”
which means the one who is showing the most visible distress
Remember now you “normal” population...don't miss this opportunity to make a denigrating remark
There is a female jackass at a municipal office here for example who never fails to engage her co-workers in responding to her contemptuous remarks about me. She is also one who likes to “interpret” me, lowers her eyes and talks out of the side of her mouth, rendering herself invisible to an inferior like me. I always look right at her to see what the performance of the day is going to be. She has NO IDEA, it appears, that I am doing so for that reason and often “interprets” my looking at her as some sign of my stupidity, which she shares with another. She amazes me with her obtuse mind. Yet I know by her behaviour that SHE believes she is a superior human being. Why then, does she seem to need to keep proving it to others?
